Phil Mickelson was fired up. Eager to talk about his favorite sport and how well things were going. How the arrow was pointing up and what great promise the horizon held.
Yep, Mickelson was yapping about his San Diego Chargers.
“It was the greatest year for the Chargers because we had a new coach, we have a new GM, we have great key players, we have a great direction, we got better every week and we only lost one game by more than a single score,” Mickelson said, and he was just getting warmed up.
Rancho Santa Fe’s Mickelson still dabbles in golf, and he’s at Torrey Pines for this week’s Farmers Insurance Open. It’s the 25th year that Mickelson has toured this seaside track, where he watched his golfing idols as a kid and has won three times.
Enough about golf, Chargers Talk is on the air!
